“I was particularly looking forward to participating in my first LET competition. I had prepared the event well since I had Tanguy Marionex, pro at Naxhelet on the bag and we had recognized the course well together the weeks leading up to the event. I felt confident to achieve my goals: have fun and gain as much experience as possible. In terms of the result, I was hoping to pass the cut to extend as much as possible this chance I had to play with the best Europeans and the good result obtained the previous weekend during the Prix du Roi at Hulencourt gave me a lot of confidence. .
The Course was magnificent compared to what I had seen a month before and I refined my strategies during the 2 recce of 9 holes that I did after school on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday was the day of the pro-am so I practiced in the morning, I was interviewed on TV and I worked for the school in order to occupy my mind with something other than golf before returning at the driving range at the end of the afternoon.
Friday was the first round in a dream flight, Manon de Roey and Laura Davies with a start at 9:20 a.m. on the 10th. Despite the pouring rain during the first 4 holes and the wind very present all day, there were many world to follow our game and encourage us. It was really amazing to play with such players because they are great competitors and show no emotion. I played pretty well despite a bad double Bogey, to end the game with a birdie and a card of 71 (-1)
2nd round with the same partners on Saturday at 2 p.m. from hole 1. And there it was just incredible the world that awaited us. It was really nice to be supported like that. I unfortunately ended up with a double bogey on the 18th by putting my 2nd shot in the water after a fairly average start in the rough I returned a card of 73 (+1), but I knew that the cut would be at the around + 3. By playing in the par for the first two rounds, the job was done, I was in the cut.
Sunday, 3rd round with two French Emma Grechi and Agathe Sauzon. I had to be very patient because the Putts weren't falling on the top 9. Then I made some very good approaches and finished at -4 (68) to move up to 14th place.
I loved this high-level atmosphere in front of this audience and the television cameras as well as the interviews, it was really great. I take this opportunity to thank the members of the French-speaking clubs and particularly the La Bruyère and Waterloo Golf clubs who came in large numbers to encourage us, it was really fun.
Tomorrow a new competition starts for me, the German Girls… wait and see…”
